Personal life

Cherry Jones was born to a mother who was teacher in a high school and a father who owned a flower shop in Paris, Tennessee. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in 1978.

In 1995, Jonas thanked Mary O’Connor- an architect, her then-partner, when she was awarded her first Tony. In 2005, she thanked her partner actress Sarah Paulson who was playing the character of the Glass Menagerie “Laura Wingfield”, when she took her Tony for Best Actress, for her performance in Doubt in the revival for Broadway. They both attended the awards together as a pair and revealed that Paulson was not furtive about the relationship when they kissed right after Jones’ winning the award. At LGBT Center of New York, Women’s Event 10 for the in an interview with VelvetPark in 2007, Jones and Paulson announced their love for each other.

This character is as the first ever female President in the history of United States. Jones will resume her role during the 2010, eighth season, of President Allison Taylor, which is presently in stages of planning. As stated, Filming is to start from May 1, 2009. Allison is married to Henry Taylor and has had two kids, Olivia Taylo and Roger Taylor, but Roger was murdered by Jonas Hodges
