Diamantopoulos was born in Toronto in Canada and played a role of Robin Williams in movie for television which was about the drama happened behind the cameras during the filming of the movie Mork and Mindy. Also, he has starred as a guest in many series, of which few are Charmed, Boston Legal, Kevin Hill and Nip/ Tuck; also he played the supporting role of an interior designer who is gay in a mini series of USA network called the Starter Wife. Presently, he is playing a reappearing role in drama series of Lifetime called State of Mind. Also, he lent his voice in 2009 for American Dad!

Diamantopoulos has agreed to play Staff Chief of President Allison Taylor in 24’s eighth season which is coming up very soon and is character shall be by the name of Rob Weiss. This shall be a lead and an important character of the upcoming season.

On 12th May, 2005, he wedded fellow actress Becki Newton and has been married to her ever since.
